I've been taking 2 x pepcid ac for a while now whenever I drink, and it seems to limit the redness, however, it definitely isn't as effective as it once was, maybe that's because I'm using the generic (cheaper) stuff.  Anyway, the other thing is, I'm finding that I just get tired when I drink these days, and just need to sleep, which isn't great when everyone around me is happily chatting away, and all I want to do is go home and sleep!  Any thoughts or solutions?

Has anyone found that they get tired from drinking moderate amounts (a few beers)?  I take 2 x Pepcid AC Max, which I've been doing for a few years now whenever I drink (once a week or so), and it does definitely limit the red face, but I do find more and more that I just get tired when I drink.

Could this be made into a new topic, so other people can share their solutions for the tiredness?

Anyone?

I'm very keen to try it, since you can take one pill per two drinks, which means you don't end up wasting pills if you don't end up having a big a night as you first thought.  On the other hand, it's not cheap, especially as I live in the UK, so if anyone has tried it, or is planning to, please post how it works here.

Thanks

I think the general consensus is that Cheerz doesn't work, but it is a good supplement to take to help rid the body of the carcinogens.  Either way, I just ordered some today to see if it'll do anything, maybe if taken in higher dosages.  I'll post when they come in.

Getting rid of the carcinogens is probably more important, if not in stopping the asian flush, but from a health point of view.  I live in the UK, so would end up paying a fair bit for Cheerz.  I will if its worth it!

Has anybody tried Cheerz?

Claims to safely prevent the Asian Flush.

Could we prehaps have this as a new topic?  I'd much rather take this than Pepcid, if it works!

The other night I took 30mg of Pepcid, about 2 hrs before drinking, and found I got a really nasty headache after only three beers.  Not good at all.

I hate not being able to enjoy drinking consistantly, its like drinking roulette, sometimes i ll be fine, others i ll feel very bad, and I don't know when these times will be...

Despite using pepcid,  I still find that I cannot drink as much as everyone else, and I soon start to feel sick... anyone else experience this?  Is it due to a half oriental body make-up?

Ken

Could someone send me some Pepcid AC from abroad to the UK?  I'll pay the cost + postage, either by paypal or some other method, or send something in exchange for it...

Have been using pepcid Two, and it doesnt do the bowels the world of good...

email me ken_987654321@hotmail.com
Cheers

I tried the chewable Pepcid tablets the other day, and although only had three beers with food, found I went a lot lett red than usual.  Does anyone know whether taking the chewable form works quicker than a "to be swallowed" tablet?
I only took 2x10mg, and think that one more may help more...

Just popped 2x10mg pepcid AC chewable tablets and just about to head for a few drinks... will post the results!

I ve yet to try it, but am going to get some pepcid straight away!  Just one thing, has anyone noticed any reduction in effectiveness of it whilst smoking?  Just came across this:

"Tobacco
In a study of 18 healthy people, cigarette smoking was found to decrease the acid blocking effects of famotidine.8 A double-blind, randomised study of 594 patients with duodenal ulcers found that smoking inhibited the ulcer-healing effect of famotidine.9
