Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hey I think you guys should create a thread discussing how to have a social life with the asian flush or something like that. Most of my friends are white and have parties all the time, and I feel like I can't have fun. My Asian friends at college drink all the time and they are fine also.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

SILICA HYDRIDE!! It's supposed to be an antioxidant 10000x more potent than vitamin c. It's probably an exaggeration, but who knows? Theoretically, one capsule of 300mg silica hydride can neutralize around 10 shots. Too good to be true? I don't know. We need to start a thread on this topic.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hi, I would like to put this into a topic thread for people to be aware and discuss if there's any beneficial use of synthetic biology towards asian flush!

I watched this bbc documentary that was aired recently and it was fascinating viewing to know what is being achieved today in the world of synthetic biology.  What caught my attention was the capability of using DNA parts (building blocks) to create your own DNA strands.  This is open-source and can be used by anyone to learn and create their own strands.  The website 'Registry of Standard Biological Parts' allows you to get started and order these building blocks online.

Please watch the programme as it explains what can be done and who is using it today. (Hopefully, people outside of the UK can view this video otherwise you may have to search for an alternative method.  Copy and paste the links into your browser.)

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Has anyone run across this before?

alkalinephdiet.com/asian-alcohol-allergy-cure/

Particularly about the "Alkaline Booster" supplement that they advertise. I haven't seen any posts or discussions about this product which makes me skeptical whether or not this is just a scam.

Any thoughts?

If it just came out, it may need time.  I'm skeptical though, only because there have been similar claims about other products like sobriety pill (or something like it) that doesn't work.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Has anyone found that they get tired from drinking moderate amounts (a few beers)?  I take 2 x Pepcid AC Max, which I've been doing for a few years now whenever I drink (once a week or so), and it does definitely limit the red face, but I do find more and more that I just get tired when I drink.

Could this be made into a new topic, so other people can share their solutions for the tiredness?

Re: Suggestions for new topics

What about a discussion on Noglo pill?  It was released couple weeks ago and there may be some who have been taking it since then.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hello all. My name is Spencer Gordon, and I am the CEO of NoGlo. One of our members came across this forum and brought it to my attention. I would like to be as transparent as possible, and am very interested in hearing customer's experiences with NoGlo. Our stance is that drinking and flushing is unhealthy and NoGlo helps to mitigate that and its something we take a lot of pride in. If anyone has the ability to start a NoGlo topic discussion in the "Free for All" section, that would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure the topic could be moved over at a later date. I wanted to introduce myself so that anyone on here can ask any questions openly about the product or the company and I can give an honest and best answer. I am also extremely excited to see how this product is helping others and appreciative of your interests. There is no cure for the alcohol flush reaction, but it is my strong and very science based belief that NoGlo is the best solution to dealing with this problem and making it healthier for individuals who experience it.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hi Spencer - can you pls discuss the feedback your getting on the product thus far. I havent seen anything reviews or testimonials online, so it makes me suspicouus on the effectiveness and if people are actually buying the product.

Also, prior to launch, how many people was this tested it on? Have doctors OKed taking these pills on daily basis. I'm worried that it will have adverse effects to my body long-term by taking pills everyday.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

We are entering a phase where we will begin to market NoGlo in a more sophisticated way. Thus far we have only been informing people of NoGlo that we know might be very interested, such as those on this forum. We have had over 100 customers in our short period. There are not many reviews because NoGlo was only put on sale less than a month ago and to not many customers. Reviews that we have gotten back have been very positive and I hope some will post them here.

Prior to launch the product was tested on many volunteers. NoGlo ingredients are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA and the dosages are well below any toxicity levels for daily, or long-term consumption. If you are concerned you should speak with your physician before taking NoGlo, however safety is a very high priority for us.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Thanks for the info. Do you have proven evidence that your product does in fact lower acetaldehyde buildup (vs Pepcid AC which just masks it). Have scientists looked it this product and tested it with results showing it to be the case?

Re: Suggestions for new topics

NoGlo is fundamentally formulated to lower acetaldehyde build-up. Inflammation which causes facial flushing is caused by acetaldehyde build-up. Pepcid AC does indeed just mask the redness because it is an anti-inflammatory (Though exact causes are disputed). NoGlo has no anti-inflammatory properties. Our trials demonstrate a reduction in facial flushing. So far our trials have only used facial flushing, heart rate, and subjective physical experience (nausea, hangover symptoms) as markers for a reduction in acetaldehyde. We are working on blood trials which are in the written protocol stage to demonstrate a direct reduction in blood acetaldehyde, but we would not move forward with them unless we were 100% confident in a reduction through the indications of lowered heart rate, facial flushing and physical experience. The reason for this is that the clinical blood trials are extremely costly. In addition, only special lab facilities have the ability to do this trial as blood must be drawn and tested at the same location as acetaldehyde is a very unstable compound. I wish I could provide to you more concrete trial research showing acetaldehyde reduction however that data is not yet available, but I assure you NoGlo does in fact lower acetaldehyde accumulation.

NoGlo was formulated by UC Berkeley graduates (one being myself) and was worked on and consulted on by multiple PhD Professors in Berkeley's biochemistry and biophysics departments. The research and biochemistry behind NoGlo is very strong and much of it is available on the NoGlo website at gonoglo.com.

Let me also mention that pepcid ac use with alcohol can be very damaging to the stomach lining, especially if done over time. NoGlo has equal if not superior efficacy in terms of flushing reduction, but is a much healthier option to achieve this.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

i think the biggest issue for people is that we havent seen any feedback by users. also, how long did the volunteers try it before you went public?

see the forum "H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)"

Re: Suggestions for new topics

I would like to encourage that this thread be moved to a new forum topic about NoGlo so I can continue to answer questions and encourage testimonials.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hello, everyone. There is now a dedicated thread for NoGlo.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

From all academic or equity research reports I've read, none is positive about treatment for ALDH2 deficiency symptoms. Has anyone here used "Acetium" developed in Finland that targets  East Asian's genetic ALDH2 deficiency and can reduce the cancer risk by reducing the exposure to acetaldehyde? Unfortunately, i think it targets to reduce drinking induced disease such as stomach cancer in Asians but I'm not sure if it works to reduce the redness.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hi,

I'm so glad to have found this site. I saw that there is a dedicated topic for NoGlo but can we also have a topic discussing the alternatives?

There are several options that pop up just from a simple Google search of asian flush cure. Has anyone tried "No Red Face Formula", AF Reducer, AF Formula, or NoGlo and can speak to how it worked/which is better?

I'm skeptical of some of the spam posts I see and the testimonials on their websites and would love to hear from some real people.

Thanks!

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hi guys, has anybody tried the AF formula? I am thinking of buying some. Would be cool to hear back from anyone that has tried it.

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Hello everyone, I am not of Asian decent but do turn bright red when I drink..... Yup after just one drink its pretty apparent. I have been searching for ways to "cure" this or let alone slow it down.. Has anyone heard of AF Formula?(as mentioned by Adz888) I cant seem to find any legit reviews (seems to be all marketing stuff).

Re: Suggestions for new topics

Guys, is anyone here a scientist? There's a crowdfunding for scientific research:

microryza.com (can't post urls)

I think this could probably raise a good bit of money to help a researcher find a solution. If someone could post a topic, would be good.
