I’ve traditionally used an external LCD when flying FPV, but I’m going to give goggle flying a try over the next couple of days, using a Fat Shark Dominator. Instead of buying the Fat Shark battery, I’m using a Turnigy nano-tech 370 mAH 2S battery, which costs $3.99 and is available from HobbyKing’s USA warehouse. The battery fits nicely in the elastic band where the Fat Shark battery goes. To connect the battery, I soldered on a female JST pigtail onto the 2.5mm barrel connector power cable that comes with the goggles, which works well. I’m not sure how much goggle time a 370 mAH 2S battery will give me, but will report back after I give it a try!
