I was flying my Witespy Flip today, and the circlip broke off mid-flight, which means that the top half of a motor, which includes the shaft, bearings, and propeller, flew off. Unfortunately, my quad was a couple hundred feet the air at the time, and it came tumbling down to the ground (over dirt and grass). The impact drove a lot of dirt into another motor, which is now really crunchy when it turns.

The lesson? Check your circlips before each flight!
