Here is raw, aerial, behind-the-scenes footage from the CBS This Morning live broadcast at CES, during which I flew a DJI Inspire 1 quadcopter around behind the anchor. Note that we did three different live segments: a teaser, the main segment, and a web segment, each involving a take off and flight / hover around the hall. The live broadcast was simple: a second “slave” Inspire 1 radio was connected to the HDMI switch, with HDMI output enabled. Any stock Inspire 1 can do this out of the box. Video is recorded in 4k on a microSD card in the camera, and is streamed at 720/60p out of the HDMI port on the radio.
