Are you interested in how we captured some of the aerial driving b-roll during the Iceland trip? We didn’t end up using much of it in the video, but it was fun to capture, anyway (video is below).

The roads were unpaved and rough, so I spread a tripod out in the passenger seat footwell for the FPV monitor to prevent it from slamming around the car cabin. I used an Atomos Ninja Blade monitor/ProRes recorder; I also had Zeiss Cinemizer goggles with me, but I forgot the appropriate cables, so I had to use a monitor instead. I didn’t have a good way to mount the Lightbridge ground end, so I just stuck it in the center console between Ragnar and me (Ragnar Th. Sigurdsson was driving). This proved to work just fine. The only thing I had to remember to do was hold the RC controller up high whenever I was flying low so the signal wouldn’t have to penetrate through the entire front end of the car. I watched the signal indicator go from 03 to 80 just by lifting the controller up higher by one foot.

Here’s a short sample clip, shot with DJI Phantom 2, Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal, GoPro HERO 3+ Black, and Lightbridge:
