Expedition prep (otherwise known as drone porn).

What a lovely view this morning from Hunter’s Point in San Francisco. Shot on DJI Inspire 1.

I am fascinated by what waves and surge against rocks look like from the aerial perspective. Scale is often deceptive, and footage shot in real time can look like it is slowed down. In this case, I slowed down the footage even more by shooting with a DJI Inspire 1 quadcopter at 1080/60p (60 frames ...

Here is raw, aerial, behind-the-scenes footage from the CBS This Morning live broadcast at CES, during which I flew a DJI Inspire 1 quadcopter around behind the anchor. Note that we did three different live segments: a teaser, the main segment, and a web segment, each involving a take off and flight / hover around the hall. ...

TTI/Vanguard [next] conference in San Francisco, (December 4). It was one of the most fun presentations I’ve done because the audience was so totally engaged. Thank you for the opportunity, Lisa McErlane ...

Best FPV experience I’ve ever had—looking at the back of my head w/Avegant Glyph (functional prototype) while flying the DJI Inspire 1 w/built-in Lightbridge. We plugged the Glyph into the Inspire 1 radio’s HDMI out, and it just worked.

I went to visit Signe Brewster at GigaOM, and flew the DJI Inspire 1 around their office in San Francisco. Wheee! (Source: https://player.vimeo.com/)
