Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

If you take zantac or pepcid, you should take acetium with those for your stomash health. Or you can get help if you take only acetium.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hey everyone,

Just found out about another hangover supplement that reduces acetaldehyde, Alcotox. Bottle of 20 capsules available for about 17 bucks USD (10 UK pounds) online. There's a positive review up on asianflush.com, but it could just be some advertising.

Interesting.  That site theasianflush.com has reviews of many alcohol flush remedy products.

Acetium take off asetaldehyde in stomach and prevent cancer. 60 caps cost 30 euros.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

I tried antacid and Acetium together and it worked better than just Acetium alone.  It helped to keep the heart rate normal for longer duration which I find interesting.  It's as if antacid made Acetium more effective.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Good to hear, Dalmore!

Yeah, I've been trying to get Acetium to work for me too. Did you also take the Acetium with the antacid an hour or so before drinking? I tried taking Acetium right before drinking and it didn't work for me.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hey I'm new to this forum. Is anyone else from the UK? I just ordered some alcotox. I'm also trying to order acetium, but can't figure out how to make the payment

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hello asiangirl90!

Sorry that you could not order Acetium in the UK, I know that the Biohit site is hard to navigate. However, I tried Acetium and did not have much success with it. Please let us know how Alcotox works for you!

I tried 30 minutes before and the result was the same as taking it right before drinking, only reduced about half of flushing.

You can also buy acetium from verkkoapteekki.fi

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

BEWARE. This is the e-mail I got after paying for Alcotox.

"Thank you for your recent order, which has been shipped today. The Alcotox brand is now for sale only to non UK, international customers, as the website notice states. For the UK we have the Vital x brand and have therefore shipped the Vital x replacement. The formulation is the same.

For best results take 1 capsule before drinking, 1 capsule per drink and 1 afterwards. This is to keep with the production and removal of the alcohol toxin acetaldehyde in real time."

It's a bit misleading really... They put the Alcotox product for sale with the currency in £ (currency of the UK), yet they are not supplying Alcotox to the UK. And I never noticed any writing at the bottom of the page when I placed the order. I swear it was never there before. Jerks.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Does anybody know how I can get Pepcid (Famotidine) in the UK? I can't find it in any drugstore. I can only find Zantac (Ranatidine) and Claratyn (Loratadine).  Do I need a prescription for Pepcid? If so, what should I say to my doctor? Do I just tell them that I have heartburn and would like to try something different from Zantac?

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Just an update to let you know I figured out how to order Acetium :D

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Congrats! I hope it works for you. I usually get my Pepcid from eBay.

Tried Alcotox.  Just like the others, it only reduces flushing about 50 percent.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Has anyone tried eating a lot of fructose/glucose before drinking? Not sure if it's been mentioned before. Normally I cannot handle and turn very red when I drink sugary drinks, so i'm not too sure how well it would work.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Also, I was doing a little research.
I know some people may say it's dangerous, but has anyone tried taking aspirin before drinking? I believe that aspirin has been shown to inhibit alcohol dehydrogenase (thus we would get more intoxicated much quicker), but that would prevent acetaldehyde from building up in the bloodstream.

Also, isnt Convivia (4-MP) proposed for asian glow because it inhibits alcohol dehydrogenase?

Just a thought...

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

^But it will lead to stomach irritation and bleeding.. so beware.. whoops!

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Has anyone tried the No Red Face Formula? I cannot believe it but I'm seriously debating spending $37 for it... is it worth it. anyone know?

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hey there.  I tried Acetium and that didn't seem to work. I flushed really red as normal.  Then I tried Vitalx (Alcotox), and that didn't seem to work either, however, it delayed the flushing for about 15 minutes, but then I flushed really red as if I hadn't taken any pills.  I'm going to try Acetium/Vitalx in combination with Zantac next.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hello Asiangirl90,
Sorry that neither of the products worked for you. It didn't work for me either. Good luck with the Zantac combo!

Our supplement is taken prior to drinking and significantly reduces flushing caused by alcohol. I encourage you to check us out online at AFreducer.com .

I was skeptical before but decided to try AF Reducer.  It worked little better than other products made for the same purpose.  The instruction says to take 2 to 3 caps 30 minutes before drinking.  I tried 2 and it reduced about 60% of flushing.  Next day I tried 3 caps and it worked little better.  Then the third day, I tried 4 caps and it reduced about 75% of flushing.  That's without using any anti-acid pills.  I would say this is the best one for me so far.

Re: H2 Blockers (Tagamet, Pepcid, Zantac, Axid)

Hey Dalmore,

Wow, that is great news. Thanks a lot for sharing, and congrats on finding something that works for you. I may have to try it now. Seems better than AF Formula, which supposedly only works after a month of daily usage, and it's cheaper too. Will you try to pair it with Pepcid/Zantac?
