Topic: AZNOBlush System - "The Cure for Asian Blush"

The AZNOBlush System claims to "helps slow down the conversion of Ethanol into Acetaldehyde as well as speed up the break down of Acetaldehyde into Acedic Acid [sic]."

The "system" involves suggested steps to take before drinking alcohol, an ingested supplement to take with alcohol, and even more suggestions for what to do after the first sip.

Note that doctors in this forum have stated that your body very quickly catabolizes NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine), the ingested supplement of an enzyme that helps to neutralize acetaldehyde.  Obscene amounts of vitamin C are required in order to slow down down the breakdown process, which makes taking the supplement inconvenient and not-so-effective.

Having said that, please let us know about your experiences with the AZNOBlush system. And while you're at it, write to them to let them know how "acetic" is spelled.

based on the spelling and overall image of the site im guessing the whole thing is bs and the guy is out to make a few quick bucks maybe to donate to actual bona fide research or to buy himself a vacation in the bahamas.

HOW TO STOP IT FOR REAL! well at least it works most of the time for me. Normally when I drink i'll turn red w/ half a corona and people are like are you ok? are you wasted? i'm not even close to drunk, just red. If I continue to drink, I'll be extremely red, my face feels swollen, I can get itchy, I'll get sick QUICK and pass out. So heres my greatest accomplishment in college. If I drink a little bit, just enough to turn pretty red, then stop for 20-30min's and my heartbeat isn't so fast, and my redness comes down, then I'll take a shot and wait maybe 15-20 min to be safe, then I can drink for the rest of the night and not be red or sick!!!!!!!!!! ITS AWESOME! Sometimes it doesn't work, maybe that day my bodys like no, f*** off. But usually it works and I don't drink if I've just eaten not too long ago, if my tummy is full, I'll have a tough time drinking, and I dont drink while i'm eating..thats the worst...i'll be SO red and SO sleepy and my heart beats SO hard. OK HOPE THIS WORKS FOR U ASIANS! SPREAD THE WORD IF IT WORKS 4U TOO!

Read on to find out what surely worked for me to rid this problem "without" pepcid ac

I read a few discussions on this topic and would like to put in my two cents...

I am asian and I also have the same problem...I tend to get extremely red and hot and bothered....sometimes even blotchy and irritated...boy is it embarrassing...I work at a bar and so I tend to drink here and there..but its so embarassing..I had to cake on a paler color makeup...which sucked!

Here's what I came up with.

I used to think maybe I'm allergic to alcohol and can't drink...

But here goes...in different incidents

On a full stomach....I can't drink at all
Redness ..not the normal red or pink cheeks..no....I'm talkin red like beet red.! Yikes!....laziness...and harded breathing...when I only drank half a beer! Lol I felt awful!

Ate lightly...while drinkin or before drinkin...
Same thing...just seemed to happen again and again

and now 3 hours after eating..
Still red and just kept drinkin and tried to ignore the asian flush symtoms and then when I drank more...it went away...and I became pale...but at this point I was drunk and didn't care anyways.lol

But still I didn't wanna drink "it" away...
Everytime...why does this happen I thot..how come I can't drink without turning red...?! But then......!!!


Then came one day...I had came home from work and got ready to go out...I didn't barely eat that day cause work was real busy...so I actually had an empty stomach...meaning...I felt hungry...
But still I went straight to drinkin with friends..and becuz I was hungry I drank and felt the hunger go away and I had the best time drinkin..felt good...and no redness at all...no throwing up..which I never do anyways...

I really hoped this works for someone...cuz I be drinking at least 3 times a week now..
And I never get red anymore!

I noticed when I drink a Vodka Orange at home I don't seem to go red. I drank another one an hour later and I still didnt go red. Then I thoguht of getting a couple branded oranga vodka's and it unfortnately made me go red. So I thought it must be the branded orange juice which must contain more healthy vitamins than the cheap stuff they put in the branded vokda oranges. So I am thinking of drinking a cup of orange juice before drinking to see what the effects are. I can't do this for a couple of months as I am on a training program and alcohol seems to make me tired the next day. If you guys fancy doing this and posting your experiences that would be great rather than waiting for three months to find out myself. Also I am guessing this doesn't work with excessive amounts of alcohol, but 2 or 3 bottles might work. Enough to get chilled but not drunk.

I am an asian girl who has the flush and was reading up on it tonight.
