Topic: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

Focused discussion about NoGlo Supplement.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

I tried it for a month.  On the bottle it says, "Reduces Alcohol Associated: Red Facial Flushing Hangover".  Yes, it works as described.  It doesn't eliminate flushing 100% but it dose reduce noticeably.  I wish there is something that can completely get rid of flushing but until such thing comes out, NoGlo will do the job somewhat.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

Did you have to take it daily as a supplement, or did you just take one x time before drinking like Pepcid?

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

I tried both.  When I received the shipment, I tried for the first time and it worked as described.  Then I took it daily and couple weeks later had a drink again and it also worked but maybe little better than the first time.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

If you've tried Pepcid or Zantac before, how would you compare the effectiveness of NoGlo to those? ex. Redness, side effects, etc.

Those anti-acid did little better job externally but as far as internal reactions (which I'm more concerned with) such as heart rate, nausea and headache, NoGlo does better job.

One thing I've learned is that this product dose work for up to 2 drinks but any more than that, it doesn't help much, at least in my case.  In other words, this stuff won't make you a bigger drinker and it says so on the bottle.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

You are saying you go red after just 2 drinks? That doesn't seem like a solution at all

Reduced flushing remains the same throughout but the heart rate, headache and nausea start to creep up by 3rd drink.
As mentioned earlier, this product reduces flushing but not completely eliminate it.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

NOGLO has a certain effect that the face will turn red and a decrease in heart rate.
However, headache and nausea, I do not take effect. After all, I do not drink eventually comfortable.
That the face is red is not been a problem. I want to avoid suffering from nausea and headaches.
I hope that NOGLO is improved.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

Accumulation of blood acetaldehyde is the cause of flushing, nausea, headache, increased body temperature, heartrate, hangover symptoms etc. As NoGlo's principle design is to reduce blood acetaldehyde accumulation, all of these symptoms will be reduced. However, in addition to acetaldehyde, headache and hangover is also affected by dehydration due to drinking. This may also be a cause of your problem. Best of luck, please let us know if you have any more questions.

Just bought the Noglo stuff...I'll be trying it out Friday when I normally go out for drinks. Wanted to point out the product came pretty quickly and wow these pills are probably the biggest capsules I'll have ever had to swallow.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

Unfortunately NoGlo didn't do anything for me...tried it like the directions stated including popping one or more when I knew I'd be drinking. Took it as a daily supplement even if I wasn't drinking as well. Has a 60-day guarantee...I tried the whole bottle to no affect, wonder if they'll honor there 60 day back guarantee since I tried it to the very end of the bottle hoping it would work eventually.

NoGlo worked for me as described on the bottle but I'm just curious.  Is it something that can be disclosed in public?

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

The main question we would like to ask is to confirm ethnicity. The NoGlo product is designed specifically for individuals with the ALDH2 mutation. There are a few other mutations and issues that can cause facial flushing when drinking, however NoGlo is formulated specifically for the mutation that most of you are familiar with. This mutation is predominantly present in individuals of East Asian descent.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

We are also please to announce that we will be conducting a larger formal clinical trial for the NoGlo product beginning at the end of Apri. This is a large step forward and the data we collect will be published. The study is likely to be complete by the end of June 2013. We will keep you informed! A great encouragement is very positive feedback from customers, which has increased our confidence for the product to perform well in a larger (very expensive) study.

Re: NoGlo, "The anti-hangover, anti-flush supplement"

I'm wondering, will this lead to a development of something more potent than current NoGlo?
