Flushie... i guess i sorta worked up a tolerance to alcohol... Pepcid for me varies also with what i drink. If drink spirits, it takes me ages to get drunk. And i can drink and drink all night! Plus the slight flush is very minimal with spirits.

Beer and wine are totally different! I would say i flush more when i drink them. Plus i can get absoloutly trashed with them... like 4-5 beers and im gone...a bottle of wine and im gone! but remember the flush is still minimal.. like u had a bit of sun :)

Hi flushie, I will answer all your questions here.
1. Yes generic famo is the same.
2. I have Pepcidine at home as my cousin is a doctor and i have a repeat prescription courtesy of him. And no it is not an OTC product. U need a prescription. Pepcidine works, i get a bit pink, but not beetroot red. Hardly noticeable.
3. As for legalities.. that im not sure. I bought some generic famo over ebay and it was checked by customs. The seller wrote they were vitamins. I think the authorities are more worried if they think your importing drugs. If your really worried about it then dont buy it off ebay, go to the local doctor and ask for a script.

Tooshay - please see everyone elses posts. But from what i have read.. i would say Zantac does not work as well. But hey u can always try. Zantac is OTC in Oz.

Sweetpea, i have no idea where you can get it in HK or china. I guess the best thing you can do is ask around some of the chemists there. Otherwise u have to find someone with a credit card.

Guys... i like this whole drinking on the weekend thing.. socially and during the day time. Its so different!! Like i was having a beer at a bbq on the weekend and it was just so relaxing and nice. :)

Not sure about the Zantac (see Sweetpeas response to Zantac).  Why cant you ebay, you dont have credit card for Paypal?? If u dont have credit card then u cant really buy anything overseas.

Do you have a doctor that u are on good terms with to prescribe it to you?

i am from Australia and we cant get Pepcid off the counter as well. Only prescription by doctor. Do what i did and buy some on ebay. Its totally legit. I'll even tell u the person who sold it to me was if you want.

last nite went out to dinner.

took 1 20mg of famo at 7pm. Had a glass of white wine and a meal at around 8pm. I got red and a stuffy nose, but no rapid heartbeat. hmmm Maybe i should take back what i said about eating with the famo.

Probably best to do what u did Omega, that was my routine when i was on holiday and i was super fine.

well for your ebay item, i did buy some from Ebay from the US, and its legit. I bought mine for US$3.99 and psotage was US$6.00.  The bottle had one of the safety seals over it and when I opened it, the tablets are the pinky colour that i know they are. Customs did open my package thou!

Its really up to you if your prepared to buy them over the net, i mean cmon is only like 17 pounds. trust me once you use this pepcid stuff, you'll be like OMG!! this is fantastic!

My cousin got me a script for the pepcid, but here in Australia its called Pepcidine and they are 20mg and pinky colour too.

In regards to your first question... you are unlucky throwing up after 1-2 beers. hehe Ok well what you need to do is buy the pepcid stuff and try it out at home. I find that i can handle my alcohol a way of alot better by taking pepcid. I can drink a hell of a lot more and not get a hangover (except with wine, wine is deadly no matter what). So yes try it out at home and see if you throw up. You may be lucky and not throw up! But if you do... then I think yes you may have to take another dose. This stuff does work with your stomach acids and you have just thrown that all up.

i had work drinks on friday, and i turned a little more red than usual cause you should really eat, then take the pills then wait a bit then drink.

I hadnt had much to eat since lunch and around 3.30pm i took my pills waited an hour, then drank and got a little flushed. But it still wasnt as bad as when i dont take the famotidine.

Saturday i had to go watch the footy game with friends, so i ate like at 1.30pm and again at 4pm and took my tablets (20mg) at 4.30pm. Game started at 5.40pm and i consumed like 5-6 beers throughout the nite and got only a little red.. more in the cheeks and a little around the outside of my eyes. It looks like i got a rosy glow, but it looks allright on me! hehehe

passed out at like 1am but woke up aok!!! no hangover or nothing. But I never had ever really had a bad hangover, cept with wine.

and Jasko.. with your LOTS of water drinking, im no doctor expert but I think that will actually dilute the famo and thus effectiveness will be less.

I found it on Ebay, but I got to buy it from the states... and buying drugs online is a bit dodgy. hmmm.... might have to give it a go anway!
