Here’s a Phantom 3 Professional hovering, hands off, in gusting 20-knot winds. A short video of the Phantom 3 hovering (on the same day, in the same conditions), taken with an iPhone 6, is over at Instagram. (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)

One of the first things I did when the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ was released was go to Golden Gate Park and photograph the California Academy of Sciences from the air. The roof of the building is incredible and really screams to be photographed from low altitude.

Foothills fog at 70x speed, taken from DJI Phantom 3 Professional hovering for around 13 minutes 400’ over a canyon in the San Mateo Highlands in California. Video was fairly stable out of the camera, but was further stabilized using Adobe Warp Stabilizer. (Source: https://player.vimeo.com/)

Greg McNeal has announced a new airspace evaluation app called AirMap.IO that looks like the most useful web app out there for analysis of where you can and can’t (or shouldn’t) fly. It looks extremely useful—congratulations, Greg, for releasing such a useful tool!

My first photo taken from a DJI Phantom! Feb 1, 2013. I know—it’s very exciting. I couldn’t have imagined where this would lead.
