I went to La Jolla today to fly Phantoms around with Mark Peterson and Norm Hamson. I had hoped to be able to capture shots of La Jolla from the air during a beautiful sunset, but thick clouds blanketed the horizon, giving us a quick path to darkness at dusk. Every time we take quadcopters ...

Here are some behind-the-scenes shots from Tonga, which were taken by my good friend, Julian Cohen. Although I mostly flew from the boat, I did a couple beach launches, as well. I absolutely love the aerial perspective. This is a picture of my wife snorkeling outside of Swallows Cave in Vava’u, Tonga. You can see the little mushroom island’s entire underwater reef structure.

Jonathan was super-engaged, curious, and friendly—it was a ...

Our friends Aaron Grimes and Russell Brown  have completed a video filmed with DJI Phantom quadcopters in the ghost town of Bodie, California. Check it out—it’s beautiful. (Note that they had the required permit to fly in a state park) (Source: https://player.vimeo.com/)
