After reading this forum I tried Zantac (ranitidine) this weekend. My reaction to alcohol varies - from pink to tomato red. I took one Zantac (75mg) about 30 minutes before drinking (after a big meal) and then had about three vodak and cokes in quick succession. Normally I usually go quite pink (again it varies) and my heart rate increases. However, didn't blush and my heart rate didn't increase at all! It worked great. The only thing is that I was a bit worried about taking a pill and mixing it with drinking (I'm super cautious! but the pill didn't come with any warnings not to mix with alcohol). At one point I felt slightly lightheaded or queasy but not sure if that was just a psychological thing. It was very hot in the club and I felt better in the fresh air. But I was nowhere near drunk and felt very clear headed.
I'm going to try PepcidTwo (what we have in the UK instead of Pecid AC) and see how that goes.
