hey all,
it's comforting to know that there are so many people out there fighting the asian glow!
when drinking, i have alot of the common symptoms that others have listed: increased heart rate, overwhelming sleepiness, beet face, and splotchy arms. for awhile i just avoided drinking all together because i always felt nauseous and would vomit after one drink.
i tried the pepcid ac thing and it seems to be working for me. i try to avoid dairy for the whole day, and usually take it about 2 hours after i eat a meal and one hour before i start drinking. it's sad that alot of planning goes into this! i still get a bit red - but no more racing heart beat and nausea. i can actually get good and drunk, without feeling bloated or like i have to throw up. i only do the pepcid when i know i'll be drinking alot, which is maybe once week.
thanks for all the helpful posts :)
