Hi coco55,
NoGlo must include this language in the writings. Unfortunately, if we did not, we would be subject to fraud and dishonesty. However, we will refund opened bottles if they are returned and there is a message indicating why the product has been returned. We have refunded opened bottles before, however we must also evaluate for legitimacy. If we are genuinely contacted, we always refund. However, this language must be included and we hope you understand. Please send us an email with your experience and we can discuss your refund.
Hi bchin2020,
We are making a further effort to conduct another clinical trial to see if we can bump the efficacy to as high as we can while remaining completely safe, however there is currently no time frame on this. We are very satisfied with the efficacy levels we have gotten and will continue to push for even better results.
Thank you.
mgt06,
The formula used in the clinical trial is the same as the NoGlo formula that is available for sale. The reformulation was strictly to reduce the smell of the product. As you might expect, everyone has a different flushing response. Meaning that some individuals are more sensitive to the same levels of acetaldehyde, and flush more intensely. Our clinical study indicates however that NoGlo directly reduces the cause of all symptoms, and more importantly, the damage associated with Alcohol Flush Reaction. That cause being acetaldehyde concentration.
Please let us know if you have further questions.
As a dedicated group searching for solutions to help with Alcohol Flush Reaction, NoGlo has just released the positive results of its first human clinical trial, becoming the first commercially available product ever to demonstrate a reduction in blood acetaldehyde and AFR symptoms!
Please read the full story here: http://gonoglo.com/noglo-health-product … cal-trial/
Please post with any questions about the study or the results! Thank you and we hope this is a big step forward for Alcohol Flush and for those looking for help. All of NoGlo's ingredients are long established as safe.
Yeah, NoGlo was a no go for me even after a couple of months of daily usage for some reason. About to purchase some really cheap Alka Balance tablets online and I'll report back with results. I'm not really expecting much at all, but I hope to be surprised!
Hi battlingnelson,
We are sorry that your results with NoGlo were not satisfying and we would be happy to answer any of your questions. We are currently in a clinical trial demonstrating the reduction of blood acetaldehyde (cause of Alcohol Flush Reaction) following alcohol consumption. We look forward to sharing those results on this forum and being the first to document a quantitative reduction of Alcohol Flush Reaction and its symptoms to provide a healthier lifestyle option for those with AFR.
Hello all,
I would like to inform you that the new NoGlo has been reformulated to have a better smell, as customers had complaints with this.
Also, we are in the final stages of our new clinical trial and we expect to have all data back by the end of September!
Please check out our two most recent blog posts,
One is called "Are Asian Governments Doing Enough About “Asian Flush?”, and the second is called "Why There Will Never Be A ‘Cure’ For Asian Flush: The Genetics Behind Asian Flush And Why Some Have More Severe Symptoms Than Others"
Very interesting and informative reads!
taoofwater - Thank you trying our product and taking the time to comment on it.
We're sorry that you aren't satisfied with your experience with NoGlo. We'd be happy to offer you a refund. Please send the bottle back to us (with remaining product or empty) with a copy of your receipt (so we can credit you properly) - mailing info is here: http://gonoglo.com/contact-us/
We understand that different people will have different results from taking NoGlo. We are anxiously await releasing data from our new clinical trial to demonstrate efficacy.
Hey everyone check out our newest blog post about why Alcohol Flush Reaction is not actually an allergy to alcohol. If you are new to the topic, it would be a great introductory read. Also, we add new blog posts every week, so be sure to check in!
Hi mgt06,
Hopefully you have received a response, apologies as we have ad a lot of emails recently from customers.
The study will take place in the Los Angeles area and you will be compensated around $200 for participating. If there are any persons interested in participating please email Support@gonoglo.com.
Thanks!
We are also please to announce that we will be conducting a larger formal clinical trial for the NoGlo product beginning at the end of Apri. This is a large step forward and the data we collect will be published. The study is likely to be complete by the end of June 2013. We will keep you informed! A great encouragement is very positive feedback from customers, which has increased our confidence for the product to perform well in a larger (very expensive) study.
The main question we would like to ask is to confirm ethnicity. The NoGlo product is designed specifically for individuals with the ALDH2 mutation. There are a few other mutations and issues that can cause facial flushing when drinking, however NoGlo is formulated specifically for the mutation that most of you are familiar with. This mutation is predominantly present in individuals of East Asian descent.
mgt06,
I apologize that you are not satisfied with the product. Please email us at Support@gonoglo.com. We would like to ask you some questions as we are curious as to why the product did not work for you. We have a few theories. If you are unsatisfied, we will honor the guarantee, simply email us.
Best,

These are actual users by the way. If anyone else has any NoGlo testimonials they are welcome to upload them to the website and we will send you a discount!
We recently had a testimonial published from a user who makes a reference to using both NoGlo and an antacid at the same time. It can be found at the top of the testimonials page at gonoglo.com.
We have also added a place where people can upload and view testimonials to the website. Anyone who has tried NoGlo can update a testimonial for a $5 off coupon or a video testimonial for $10 off. I also want to give people on the forum the best opportunity to try the product, so if you type in "ECHENG" into the discount code box, you will get an additional $10 off. Hope everyone gives it a try!
Hi Jasko,
There is a dedicated NoGlo thread now where people are beginning to share their experiences on this forum. Please ask any questions if you have them.
iammeagan, flushing is also affected by several other factors. Examples of these are room and body temperature, how much food you have in your stomach, how much food/energy you have consumed that day, how much exercise you have gotten, and how much drinking you have done within the week. This might help explain your varying experience with pepcid. I will also note that pepcid works as an anti-inflammatory and your body's response to this may vary and will also be reduced over time. Antacids like pepcid do not actually reduce blood acetaldehyde, but reduce only one symptom, inflammation. People usually experience varying amounts of success and this is normal. If you have others, please do not hesitate to ask more questions.
Accumulation of blood acetaldehyde is the cause of flushing, nausea, headache, increased body temperature, heartrate, hangover symptoms etc. As NoGlo's principle design is to reduce blood acetaldehyde accumulation, all of these symptoms will be reduced. However, in addition to acetaldehyde, headache and hangover is also affected by dehydration due to drinking. This may also be a cause of your problem. Best of luck, please let us know if you have any more questions.
Great to see a dedicated thread about NoGlo. Feel free to post here any questions you have as well as your experiences with the product and we will answer your questions and concerns.
I would like to encourage that this thread be moved to a new forum topic about NoGlo so I can continue to answer questions and encourage testimonials.

NoGlo is fundamentally formulated to lower acetaldehyde build-up. Inflammation which causes facial flushing is caused by acetaldehyde build-up. Pepcid AC does indeed just mask the redness because it is an anti-inflammatory (Though exact causes are disputed). NoGlo has no anti-inflammatory properties. Our trials demonstrate a reduction in facial flushing. So far our trials have only used facial flushing, heart rate, and subjective physical experience (nausea, hangover symptoms) as markers for a reduction in acetaldehyde. We are working on blood trials which are in the written protocol stage to demonstrate a direct reduction in blood acetaldehyde, but we would not move forward with them unless we were 100% confident in a reduction through the indications of lowered heart rate, facial flushing and physical experience. The reason for this is that the clinical blood trials are extremely costly. In addition, only special lab facilities have the ability to do this trial as blood must be drawn and tested at the same location as acetaldehyde is a very unstable compound. I wish I could provide to you more concrete trial research showing acetaldehyde reduction however that data is not yet available, but I assure you NoGlo does in fact lower acetaldehyde accumulation.
NoGlo was formulated by UC Berkeley graduates (one being myself) and was worked on and consulted on by multiple PhD Professors in Berkeley's biochemistry and biophysics departments. The research and biochemistry behind NoGlo is very strong and much of it is available on the NoGlo website at gonoglo.com.
Let me also mention that pepcid ac use with alcohol can be very damaging to the stomach lining, especially if done over time. NoGlo has equal if not superior efficacy in terms of flushing reduction, but is a much healthier option to achieve this.
