Did you also take the Acetium with the antacid an hour or so before drinking?
I tried 30 minutes before and the result was the same as taking it right before drinking, only reduced about half of flushing.

I tried antacid and Acetium together and it worked better than just Acetium alone. It helped to keep the heart rate normal for longer duration which I find interesting. It's as if antacid made Acetium more effective.
Interesting. That site theasianflush.com has reviews of many alcohol flush remedy products.
I tried Acetium. It only works for about half reduction of flushing. Still better than NAC though.
More on Acetium.

I also think it depends on what type of alcohol he drinks that gives him different symptoms..
It sounds like allergic reaction than Asian flush. I know some people get bad reaction from beer but not from wine or vodka. Asian flush happens regardless of which type of alcoholic drink.
NoGlo reduced it about half for me so this may not do much for you if that was your result with NoGlo. But if you have the funds to try it, let us know how it goes.
They're called 7.2 Alkaline Booster tablets.
There's a video on Youtube that explains how the product works. Just look up "Ray Gin Asian Flush" and you'll find it (sorry, but I can't link).
Can anybody verify the science behind it? Seems legit to me and Dr. Ray Gin, who appears in the video, is an actual doctor with credentials whose patients are pretty happy with him, according to Yelp reviews online.
I might just give this a try, but I'm done with spending money on products that don't work.
I've seen the video and I've tried Alkaline tabs of other brand. It only reduced flushing by about half. In other words, it didn't work.
2. The major therapeutic aim is not for the benefit of socially inhibited Asians; it is for reducing damage from prolonged treatment with nitroglycerin during a heart attack, which I can tell you is important but not that big of a deal.
Heart attack is one of the leading causes of death in USA. So it is a big deal.
8. Then again, with the money that could be had from such a pill, you never know these days. Still, I'm once again putting this fantasy back to rest. Maybe I'll check in again in 10 years,
Haven't you heard of Convivia by Raptor Co. & Uni Pharma?
Dear Asian Glow Community,
We've released a new drinkable tonic that combats the effects of Asian glow.
NoGlow Metabolic Drink is a supplemental beverage providing various benefits for the social drinker.
Check it out at noglowdrink.com
Thanks
Does it work?
Has anyone heard of AF Formula?(as mentioned by Adz888) I cant seem to find any legit reviews (seems to be all marketing stuff).

but I ONLY flush while drinking alcohol.
the acetyldehyde that is produced is still dangerous so I got a reference to a skin doctor to do some more tests.
Does your heart rate increase a lot and get a headache when you drink alcohol? If not, then it may not be due to your digestive system and acetaldehyde accumulation in the body may not be an issue for you.
I'm wondering, will this lead to a development of something more potent than current NoGlo?
We have a few theories.
NoGlo worked for me as described on the bottle but I'm just curious. Is it something that can be disclosed in public?
look what i came across on the internet, a potential future cure:
Alcohol 'Antidote' Could One Day Sober You Up Fast

I don't think that will help the AF sufferers. AF is due to acetaldehyde which is the first byproduct of alcohol metabolism in our body. Then the second metabolism takes place which converts acetaldehyde into acetate (vinegar) by ALDH2 enzyme but this second step is where the trouble is for AF sufferers due to genetic mutation that produces insufficient amount of ALDH2 enzyme. The result is the build up of acetaldehyde in the body which causes flushing, heart palpitation and nausea because it's toxic.
The above product doesn't sound like it increases ALDH2 enzyme or gets rid of acetaldehyde.
I went out last time and i had 2 zantac (or it was 1) and1 full bottle of rewind hangover. That night i was able to consume 2,5 shots and 4 beers without going super red. Only a little bit of pink, but hardly noticable. Didn't feel any neauseua, headache, or any of those other stupid flush symptons
Have you tried it without anti-acid? If you have, how did it work?
I have come across RU-21 and have ordered 120 tablets to try. I will report back when I have tried it,

I looked at the website but was wondering about one thing. Why isn't there any mention of Acetaldehyde?
I haven't found any new info since a year ago.
You are saying you go red after just 2 drinks? That doesn't seem like a solution at all
Reduced flushing remains the same throughout but the heart rate, headache and nausea start to creep up by 3rd drink.
As mentioned earlier, this product reduces flushing but not completely eliminate it.
If you've tried Pepcid or Zantac before, how would you compare the effectiveness of NoGlo to those? ex. Redness, side effects, etc.
Those anti-acid did little better job externally but as far as internal reactions (which I'm more concerned with) such as heart rate, nausea and headache, NoGlo does better job.
One thing I've learned is that this product dose work for up to 2 drinks but any more than that, it doesn't help much, at least in my case. In other words, this stuff won't make you a bigger drinker and it says so on the bottle.
I tried both. When I received the shipment, I tried for the first time and it worked as described. Then I took it daily and couple weeks later had a drink again and it also worked but maybe little better than the first time.
I tried it for a month. On the bottle it says, "Reduces Alcohol Associated: Red Facial Flushing Hangover". Yes, it works as described. It doesn't eliminate flushing 100% but it dose reduce noticeably. I wish there is something that can completely get rid of flushing but until such thing comes out, NoGlo will do the job somewhat.
If anyone has a permission to post new topic, please do one on NoGlo. The software won't let me.
