Jan 11, 2005: On December 3, 2003, I posted
a message in my web journal about the Asian Blush, which quickly resulted in over 100 very-informative comments. This forum is intended to be an information source for those of us looking for information about why we turn red when we drink alcohol.

Attention to anyone who's been using antacids to counter their asian glow:
I've been using assorted antacids on a regular basis for about two years now, and recently, within the past month or so, I've started experiencing side effects (such as high amounts of bloating and gas, as well as incontinence ), as it seems my sustained usage is actually interfering with my digestive system. I did some reading which supports this and it's actually very concerning.
Wikipedia says: Constant use of antacids leads to a condition called acid rebound where the stomach begins to over secrete acid in order to make up for the quantity that is being neutralized.
I have some more sources that I can't find at the moment, but will post when I get the chance
