Raw DNG support for the DJI Phantom 2 Vision is finally public! This is huge. If you take still images with your DJI Phantom 2 Vision, you need to go grab this update right now. It’s on the Phantom 2 Vision downloads page, and what you are looking for is the “Phantom 2 Vision FC200 Firmware v1.1.9”. It’s a little confusing, but the Vision’s camera is called the “FC200”, and the Phantom FC40’s camera is called the “FC40”.
Once you do the firmware update (which literally takes the camera 15 seconds to do—it’s super fast), setting the camera to shoot “RAW” in the mobile app will make the Vision shoot DNG. Shooting is slower than when shooting JPGs, and it might take up to 6-8 seconds for each picture to be written to your microSD card. Get a fast card for shorter write times.
