People keep asking about the DJI Phantom 3 and whether or not it supports Phantom 2 batteries. They are NOT compatible. The new Phantom 3 has a lot more power, and its batteries are 4480 mAh, 15.2 V, which are higher voltage than P2 batteries. Although they look similar, they will not fit.

Also, the Phantom 3 Professional also comes with a more powerful battery charger so you can charge up batteries faster. Although the battery chargers differ, they are cross-compatible because the batteries for the two flavors of P3 are the same.
