Many folks have been asking how to carry an Inspire 1 without using a bulky case. Here’s a post from Facebook that shows a backpack that seems to work well. A quick search for “Airwheel Backpack” yields the official (Chinese) site that sells them for around $34, each. They are also available on eBay for $60.

I am going to order one to see how it works.
