WAKATOBI, DEC 2003 - SOCIALIZING
[previous: photo equipment] [next: special dinners]

Socializing

Even though most guests were doing 3-5 dives a day, there was plenty of time to socialize. We divided ourselves up into smaller diving teams on the first day and stayed in those teams for the duration of our stay. So make sure you pair up with people you want to get to know. :)

Lorenz's daughter, Inka, was at the resort while we were there. She flitted about the grounds, making people smile. My favorite conversation snippets with her:

Inka: "Where are you from?"
Me: "California."
Inka (surprised): "Are my eyes lying to me? You look Chinese!"
...
Inka: "You smell like toast."
