I have a lot of friends who went roaming around the Castro last Halloween, but this was the first one I spent there. We took the J Church from 30th and Church and joined the crazy crowd of hundreds of thousands of people wearing every sort of costume imaginable. As expected, there was much cross-dressing and exhibitionism, and it was so crowded that people (including us) were pushed around in groups of ten or fifteen, forcing involuntary migration in random directions. Anyway, here are some photos I took with a Sony DSC-P1 digital camera. I wanted to bring my Canon EOS 3 with a big, fast lens and flash, but I can't imagine trying to maneuver such a large camera, hemmed in by so many people!
