My family and I went out for a wonderful dinner at Sushi Ota to celebrate my father's birthday before heading down to Hillcrest to see Frida (in an empty theater). The drive down to San Diego was relatively uneventful. Actually, it's good to be here, where I won't be shaken awake by earthquakes (or by the construction across the street) in the early mornings. :) Going to bed now. Here are some photos:

hehehe. sorry, man. it was family time. :) i am rarely home for long enough to look beyond the few friends that I have left there. it's too bad. maybe i should plan a longer excursion to san diego sometime.
Hey man! In my stomping grounds and not so much as a "Hullo!" ya rat bastard! ;) Anyhew, hope you had fun down here ;) My friends are really buddy buddy with Kazumi (Kazoomi? sp?) in Hillcrest as well and they rave about it. But I know jack **** about japanese food. Hai!
"And never any vignetting with the D60 because hoods are built for full-sized sensors." Doh. Duh. Just goes to show you that, while there may not be any such thing as a stupid question, there certainly are stupid questioners.
very slight photoshop mucking on the grapevine shot -- the blue just came out that way. I'd expect a very dark blue at the top, if I had used a polarizer. And never any vignetting with the D60 because hoods are built for full-sized sensors. :)
[De-lurking Again] I like that Grapevine shot...was the blue that way or did you muck with levels in PS...polarizer? And, wow...no vignetting...hood?
YUM!!! Man! Lobster Miso Soup?!?! Now I have something to try to hunt down in the restaurants on the East Coast! Great shots as usual Eric!
