Posted at 10:37 PM PST: "Almost Full Moon"
Went over to Livia's place to shoot some photos of the moon this late afternoon before meeting up with Martin, an old E.piphany co-worker. We went to eat at Sabra, which is one of two kosher restaurants (three, if you include Izzy's Bagels (or however you spell it)) in the SF Bay Area.Anyway -- the moon shots would have been better, but I forgot to bring the tripod quick-release plate, so I just set the camera on the tripod and held it there. Not ideal. :) Exif data is below the images. The moon was nice and orange. I had to use "sunny" white balance (it is illuminated by the sun, after all) because auto white balance just made it white. well no wonder it's such a great shot: you were only 655 meters away! ;) that sheet of music ... i'm trying to think of an appropriate analogy for how awestruck i am, having seen Livia perform. i can't. :)
thanks, catherine! wow. who knew the moon would be so popular? next time, I'll use a tripod. :)
you are such an amazing photographer!
i <3 the moon!
Smokin! Nice shots Eric... Man you inspire me... Unfortunately with my latest toy it will be challenge to come up with the same quality of work...
Aaaargh, so beautiful ! I really love the colors... I will say the beautifulness is because of the D60 and not the photograph :-), Even the DImageX pictures are wonderful when you shoot...there must be something I don't know like 'how to take pictures with crisp colors for dummies'
