Hey, guys - sorry about the newly censored photos. Some uh... interesting e-mails are being sent back and forth between me and the tour manager and lighting guy. There are copyright issues that have caused them to be taken down. More details after the smoke clears...
The pictures from your Golijov tour are great. Wish I'd been in California (southern or northern) to hear one of the concerts.
oh my gosh, if only had i known about this earlier, i would have gotten myself tickets to see the performance. Orange County Performing Arts center is so close to my old school! i've performed in there several times before too. damn...
Hi, Silvia - Lesley is not with us here! No violas in the orchestra. :) I've been trying to take photos of Ozzy, but he is always running around. :) Also, I'm playing in the orchestra, and it can be hard to track him down during and after rehearsals (he was in the audience in the afternoon yesterday -- far away, and dark). The performers, however, are always there, so it's easy for me to get a lot of photos of them. I'll try harder, today. :)
What's the secret of the S.Lawrence guys to look so young, I've known them since 1992, and they look as young as they did 10 years ago. Where is Lesley? Last (bias) comment: Why so few pictures of the composer? He made all this possible, after all
hey, Marc - thanks for the suggestions! We may pick one of the restaurants you suggested and check it out tomorrow. I do haul my computer around, every time I take a trip. :)
do you carry your computer around to update your journal? anyhow, since your down in SoCal, you have to try (arguably) the best dimsum in town, Ocean Star restaurant in Monteray Park. For a something little closer, try George's Thai Bistro, it is really close to you guys, practically right across the street. That one plaza you guys had lunch by, near the Goldenspoon Yogurt, there's a Bank of America there, and George's Thai Bistro is right behind it. I highly recommend it.
Oki Doki (formerly Imperial Dragon) is a great place. I use to eat their all the time when I lived down the street. It used to be owned by a Vietnamese man before it was sold last year to OD people. There are alot of good eats on that street. Have a great performance...I might even swing by and check it out if tickets for Saturday are still available.
