I
started playing the the cello when I was seven years old. Playing music
defines my extra-curricular life, and if I don't get to touch my cello
every day, I start to feel like something's missing. Unfortunately,
that "missing" feeling is starting to become the norm as the events in my life become
less and less stable (I'm trying very hard to figure out what I'm supposed
to doing with my life).
I also played piano for 12 years. Even though my skills have atrophied so
badly that I no longer consider myself a pianist, sometimes there's nothing
better than sitting down at the piano with some music.
I am sometimes coached by members of the St.
Lawrence String Quartet. They have become good friends, and continue to
be one of my most inspirational influences -- both in musical and culinery
adventures. :)

November, 2003 - I went and hung out with Vienna Teng while she toured around the South. As usual, I took some pictures. Also, performed with her at Joe's Pub in NY, Cowell Theater in SF, and Montgomery Theater in San Jose.
July 27, 2003 - I've put up a recording of us performing the first
movement of Beethoven's Piano Trio in B-flat, Op. 97 'Archduke' (Sabrina
Lee, violin,
Sheila Chan, piano, Eric Cheng, cello). Note that it was a
live recording from a concert, and we played far from perfectly. But it's
fun to share, anyway. :) [MP3 VBR, 7.64MB]
