See you in hell (Bangkok, Thailand):: Tags: Food, Random, TDEX 2010, TravelBangkok: TDEX 2010 (Thailand Travel & Dive Expo):: Tags: Photo, Slow Motion, TDEX 2010, Travel, VideoHere’s a short video from my visit to Bangkok, Thailand for the Thailand Travel & Dive Expo during July 8-11, 2010. Special thanks to Aey and Mean of Dive Supply and Digitalay, and to Khun Fah (TDEX organizer) for inviting me to speak! Also, thanks to Tony Wu for keeping me from getting lost in Thailand. :) Pad thai preparation in slow motion (Bangkok, Thailand):: Tags: Food, Slow Motion, TDEX 2010, TravelTonight, I had my first pad thai in Thailand at Thip sa mai / Pad Thai Pra Tu Phe. It was quite an experience: chefs work furiously at large woks near the sidewalk while patrons sit inside at modest tables. Once the pad thai is cooked, a single portion is thrown onto a special wok and wrapped in a thin layer of egg — a feat which takes only 4-5 seconds. I switched to slow-motion mode to better capture the crazy cooking. UPDATE, JULY 13: I’ve replaced the video file with a longer edit. |
