Twitter is down again, hilarious

:: Tags:

This video is probably only hilarious if you don’t understand German. Oh yeah, you probably have to be a Twitter user, too. :)

“And that stupid fail whale!”

HAHAHAHA!

I’m not really tired because I’m jetlagged, but I should probably try to get some sleep. But before I go, I thought I’d post this video, because it made me laugh out loud.

Awesome! I wanna try.

Scuba-diving cat

:: Tags:

Eli sent me a link to a video of a scuba-diving cat. I’m not exactly sure what the point was of taking a cat underwater, but it makes for funny video!

Now that I’ve branched out to shooting land mammals underwater, maybe I should volunteer to take some portraits of diving kitty. ;)

Berkeley White toilet

:: Tags:

Dan was just talking about going into a store and seeing a “Berkeley White toilet,” which was hilarious because Berkley White is sitting in the same room as we are right now.

It exists! Awesome. :)

Hanging out with a shotgun

:: Tags:

This photo makes me laugh. Graham Abbott took me around Bali last year on my way back from Komodo, and we had a great time hanging out at this little surfer’s retreat. I’m not sure what was up with the fake gun, but it was fun to pose with. :)

Gelato in Palm Beach / Riviera Beach

:: Tags:

A few hours ago, I walked into a home-made ice cream place on Northlake Blvd today and asked the guy behind the counter about their gelato. The guy said, “We have ice cream, shaved ice, soft serve, and gelati. The gelati is a mixture of shaved ice and soft serve.”

Nice.

Wade then recommended a gelato place across the street from the Brass Ring, which is a place that local divers flock to after a day’s diving. I’ll have to give it a try next time…

Lenovo X300 spoof on Macbook Air

This is too hilarious not to post.

I am (in general) a happy Mac user, but it is good to maintain a sense of humor… and as soon as that X300 fired up Vista, it would have ruined everything. ;)

Funny sign at an airport in India

I don’t remember at which airport I saw this sign, but I think it was the airport at Varanasi… or Chennai (more likely, since it was a passport check). It made me laugh out loud and sneak a shot with my camera phone (you aren’t allowed to take pictures in India airports or airplanes).

honor code flyer at Caltech (photo: Jeff Laity)

Anastasia saw this flier posted up at Caltech somewhere. The screaming turtle lives on!!

There is tremendous irony in ripping an image off of the internet for use in a flyer about an honor code survey. :)

Poopy news

:: Tags:

Every once in awhile, I meet someone with whom I enjoy conversation until they say something like, “Oh! You’re a Sagittarius! The planets and stars are aligning like [insert coincidental celestial event here], and that means that [insert random jumble of words here].”

Today, that alignment of mysterious bodies and events occurred in my residence, and it all revolves around poo. I usually am well-stocked with regard to the necessary items a comfortable session requires, but today, I am out of:

  1. toilet paper
  2. tissues
  3. paper towels
  4. water

Yes, water is off for the entire building, for the whole day.

This has probably been the lowest post in the history of echeng.com. But I’m sure it will get a lot of search hits because it has the word “poo” in it.

I’m leaving the house now.

Gizmodo goes nuts with TV B Gone at CES

:: Tags:

Gizmodo ran around CES with a TV B Gone, wreaking havoc upon dozens (if not hundreds) of displays at the show. I found the video they posted to be hilarious, although I’m sure that many of the folks at CES were not amused. (Dear Gizmodo — please allow embedding of your videos)

Frankly, I’m surprised that something like this didn’t happen earlier. Those devices have been around for a long time.
