Bluegrass Vienna Teng visits the South!

Eric, contemplating
life in the shower

Vienna is on the last legs of her tour. We spent today in Louisville, Kentucky, trying to figure how to pronounce the city's name. Is it LEWIS-VILL, or LEWEE-VILL, or LO-VULL? Locals told us it was LO-VULL, but there was some disagreement in the audience!

The Rudyard Kipling was a fantastic venue. Vienna played her set for a great group of fans, and afterward, she sat in on a group of jazz musicians who spend every Wednesday night playing together. What a great way to spend an evening! She sang two beautiful jazz songs with them. When I was a kid growing up in San Diego, I used to listen to jazz, so her songs brought back some vivid memories!

We spent some time chatting with the owner of the venue before heading back to the Holiday Inn, where we decided to take some photographs in the shower for this special page, which is actually a spoof of our good friend Adam's website. Adam accompanied Vienna for some time on her last tour, and created many pages like this, chronicling her travels. The style is, of course, exaggerated. We had bring a bit of Adam to the South. :) You can go back to my journal for the rest of the images (specific page link here soon).
