What I mean is that the actual parts like the case are generally more expensive because you have to buy one piece in one go and not two top and bottom like with previous models.

Robert -- yes, that's right. The HD screen and longer battery life were worth the extra pound.

As for replacement cost, they are no more expensive than the older models were. Same replacement cost.

So you had 15″ previously and the HD screen won out over the additional weight/hassle of lugging to thing around day to day then?

Replacement cost on the unibody is high so they are beautiful until you need a replacement.

Those are beautiful. There’s a cool video on the Apple site w/Jonathan Ive waxing about this new ‘puter and showing the milling process for the unibody. Very cool. Apple rocks at design.

Hopefully, you got the newer versions which supports 8GB instead 6GB.
