Vienna Teng in the recording studio

… taken on June 19 in New York. I spent a day in the studio recording with Vienna Teng, which was a lot of fun. She managed to assemble a fantastic group of musicians, who learned their parts pretty much in real time. Fun stuff.

   Wow, you found a studio in New York? I thought they had all closed down. So many classic studios have been turned into luxury condos. :(

   That’s funny, cuz my new place used to be a studio. It wasn’t classic, though, unless you consider decorative corrugated metal to be classic. ;)

   Actually, I think it is extreme concentration — trying not to blink. Even with no flash, I find that she blinks in maybe 25% of my shots. ;)
