Looks like a silver file folder with keys on the inside. Sexy but the stock tanked that day so not sexy enough for the street.

It’s a fantastically innovative device, but I agree that the spartan nature of its hardware specs makes it fairly uncompelling to me. To me, it’s something that would be great as an ultraportable, but with a smaller footprint in addition to the thinness. That is, I’d be much more inclined to get something like it if it were a 9″ or 10″ screen. As it is, I’d rather have the Toshiba Portege.

The lack of DVD/CD reader seems insane to me too. Apple says to just connect wirelessly to a desktop that has them, or have an external drive - not convenient if your laptop is your primary machine. I don’t even have a desktop in the office anymore; just a nice monitor that I plug in every morning.

I’m still in love with my MacBook Pro after a year, though it’s a bummer that it gets a smidge too hot to really be a “laptop.” :)
