This is my favorite e-mail from the last 2.5 weeks.
From: Michael Much <muchphoto@earthlink.net> Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2007 10:00:15 To: Eric Cheng Subject: FROM ECHENG.COM - Galleries So when are you going to start doing some interesting infrared photography? We don’t care to see you or your friends.
My reply:

I get an e-mail like this (from a stranger!) every few months, and over the years, they have stopped bothering me.
Michael Much probably sent that message after going to my infrared page and finding a bunch of pictures of my friends. There is only one Michael Much I can easily find in Google, but you can bet that this page will show up in a few days, too.
My all time favorite unsolicited email of yours is the “debugging” of your C code on your resume. I still forward that to friends and coworkers occasionally. :)
That was nice of Michael to speak for all of us, though. It is a little odd to go to someone’s personal website and claim that there is too much info about that person there…
You put a code sample on your resume? :)
Hahahaha. What a great reply.
I figure it’s ok to post this, since I assume it’s public:

Adam — the funny thing about that situation is that someone who works for the company found my post about Diane Cameron years later and offered to take me out to dinner!!
So, when are you going to do some interesting PbPbPbPbanos in infra-red? I don’t care to see PbPbpbBpbanos of you and your friends in color.
Why is Al all excited about lead?
That’s funny. I’ve never seen the Diane email–that was really funny. Let’s get sushi.
I think it is clear that we need more people harassing or irritating Eric so that we can get more rant posts. I hadn’t read the code thing in a long time… Poor Diane Cameron. I just wish the post on her was the first google hit.

We could always use our collective PageRank for awesome …
Dave — you are officially a dork. I just got your comment. ;)
