		<description>&lt;p&gt;I agree. I had been looking forward to going to the Nature's Best awards ceremony at the Smithsonian, but the year I won they didn't do anything!  Too bad.  This year, I only made the finals. :(&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I run &lt;a href="http://underwatercompetition.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;several photo contests&lt;/a&gt; with a friend, and we give out $50,000 in prizes. The entry fee is only $10/image, and the image gets published in dozens of magazines worldwide.  But, of course, our name doesn't stack up against PDN and NatGeo!&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;that is pretty silly. I entered this year, but after I realized that it was $35 &lt;em&gt;per photograph&lt;/em&gt;, I stopped uploading after only 1 image. Too costly, and not enough exposure in the event you have a winning entry. The Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year is much more prestigious, has an awesome display up for a year in London, and there is a traveling exhibit that goes all around the world. The Nature's Best competition is also just as amazing.&lt;/p&gt;
