Projjex.com is a great new site that does a fabulous job of project management. It's completely browser-based, really easy to use, and has a free version. Cool videos too - I love it!

We had to cancel our basecamp account, when our team has grown up a bit. It became impossible to complete any project, because of multiple discussions and so on. We switched to Wrike which is much more focused on getting things done approach in collaboration.

I've been using basecamp for probably about a year now with two different groups of folks (soon to be three) and it's been great. It definitely makes group projects much easier to manage. The developers, 37signals, also make a pretty cool-looking personal organization tool called backpack for managing personal projects that don't require group collaboration. Have read lots of pretty good stuff about it, but I haven't used it much...
