Vienna Teng Green Caravan Tour, Day 4

(Cross-country drive with Vienna Teng) Departure from North Platte, Nebraska: 9:20AM Arrival in Naperville, Illinois: 9:45PM

I had my first Cracker Barrel experience. I ate trout. Vienna is now called “Stormbringer” because every time she sits down in the driver’s seat, the clouds roll in.

Video follows…

Nothing really happened today. Sorry, folks. :)

to jump on the bandwagon: these are awesome! :) can’t believe you’re managing to post one a day.

also, i would venture that driving nonstop => “nothing really happened.” unless someone starts driving west again…

I’m glad you enjoyed your first Cracker Barrel experience. In Louisiana we grew up on that sort of food so I used to get really aggravated when every Saturday my mom would insist we take my grandmother to Cracker Barrel for dinner. a) Why drive 20 miles to eat there when we cook that stuff most days and b) eating dinner at 4:30 on a Saturday sucks. Now I like it CB though. One Saturday we were eating there when we were under 3 tornado warnings. Suddenly softball-sized hail started raining down and the cooks rushed out saying they heard on the radio that a tornado was coming right up the street. All the restaurant patrons then had to spend some time in the restaurant freezer. I left my family to stand by a woman who was repeatedly chanting “Jesus please protect us,” figuring that in the event the tornado hit the restaurant she was the most likely to survive. Considering that experience I will probably never set foot in a Cracker Barrel with your friend “the storm bringer.” :)

I have to admit, this is not quite the music video I envisioned for this song.

Love these videos! I look forward to them. Which means I either have no life or um, I have no life? Just kidding. ;)

Yep, that’s Nebraska… Went to junior high school in Omaha and recall it well. Damn! My wife and I had “lunch” at that Subway coming back from Minneapolis last year. I recall it had free Internet access, unlike most anything out here in the Bay Area. Drive careful out there and thanks again for the great videos. It was the low 80’s and blue sky here yesterday ;-)
