Driving across America with Vienna Teng

The Green Caravan Tour Cross-Country Drive 2007: I’m in a moving van (a van that is moving, that is) on I-80 E with Vienna Teng. We’re starting a drive across the country from San Francisco to New York City, and I plan to make a short video each day to document our 6-day journey.

Mary Lynn Price has graciously lent me her EV-DO express card, so we’ll be wired during times when we are not on roads between places. Having internet access in a car is so novel!

Even better, you are in Vienna’s “green caravan”, right? :)

Van? Feh. I’m disappointed that you didn’t have everything freighted there in order to allow yourself to try and establish some new transcontinental time record in your main ride. That would’ve been the ultimate driving chronicle.

So very cool, you are on a road trip! I yearn for my next road trip, the last one was to the Twin Cities to pick up a rescue dog. But, anyway, instead I am sitting here in my classroom in Orinda looking at Vienna Teng’s MySpace friends listening for sounds I like. You popped up in her top 20 so here I am, telling you I am way jealous wishing I were on that (or any) road trip. The nerd in me just has to know, how well does that EV-DO card work?

Maybe see you when Vienna Teng performs is SF in May. My wife and I will see and hear her in concert for the first time. I’ll be checking back to read your trip journal. Thanks for sharing.

    Peace!

Hey Eric — Are you going to be at the Wolf Trap performance (4/3 and 4/4)? Wolf Trap is one of my favorite venues in my neck of the woods. I will be diving next week with Kate (Kona Classic) — if you are at Wolf Trap — sorry to miss you!

Hey, Marjorie! I will be at Wolf Trap for the first show. Have fun at the Kona Classic! Wish I could go again…

Looks like a fun road trip! I noticed you were using a digital point and shoot. I’m curious which one you were using? Very nice quick style editing… iMovie?
