jellyfish lake, palau
My image of a bunch of Mastigias sp. jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake, Palau, is a winner in this year’s National Geographic Traveller and Photo District News’s World in Focus professional photography contest. Unfortunately, it appears that the version shown in the winners’ gallery wasn’t converted to sRGB, so it appears in a rather desaturated state.
The website says that winning images will be featured in the February 2007 edition of Photo District News, and will also be displayed in November at the World in Focus Gallery at PhotoPlus Expo in New York.
Congratulations!
Wow, you’re right. What a huge difference! Your pic here on your site has much more “whoa” to it.
congratulations, dude! but u never told me what an f-stop was. WTF!? welcome back, man….lets hang….
That’s great Eric - the image shows more sun rays on the contest site than the image on your page, can that be just because of the color space conversion or a different shot?
I like the effect of lighting going thru the jellyfish. Congratulations!
Congrats Eric! That’s a stunning picture.
