Address Book.app - be sure to back up frequently!

Ahhh, the joy of computers. Address Book.app on Mac OS X just froze up while I was editing a contact. While it was “not responding,” Mail.app, iCal.app, and Adium.app also refused to respond, and I had to force-quite them all.

When I launched Address Book again, all the data was gone. Luckily, I back up often — and you should, too. :)

    WTF, Macs suck. A PC would never crash and lose all your data ;)

    i do feel more at home on a Mac than I do on a PC. it just sits under the fingertips better.

    Kenny, that is an awesome find. Thanks for sharing.

    I’ve been really surprised lately how often these random bugs/issues seem to now be covered in someone’s blog somewhere. Really helpful.

    Adam — that’s why I post all this stuff, really (I mean, the posts with actual solutions in them. :). I find answers all the time on random sites, and can only offer the same on mine.
