Using Subversion with my websites

Per Alex King, I have decided to use Subversion to track changes to my websites (echeng.com and wetpixel.com) over time. I used the SVN 1-Click setup to install an SVN repository and client on my Windows server, and just installed TortoiseSVN on my client machines.
I finally decided to do this because I wrote over an important file yesterday and had to go back into my server backups to retrieve it.
HI.Mr.Eric I used to come to your website years ago and I really like the pictures of Underwaterworld that you took. I just wondering why there is no more this time. ^_^ hope u could post some pictures of under-the sea again cheers, ellen

i’ve been quite happy with subversion as a site-management tool. to be honest, i do little happy-dance inside everytime i either update a site or switch to working on my laptop for a day by invoking two little commands at the prompt. yay!
i’ve only actually used it to go backwards once or twice, and never because i had to, but i’m sure that will cause some sort of spontaneous internal jig, too. then there’s working on a site with someone else. bounce bounce
yeah, this comment embarrasses me, too.
