You know that mother and calf humpback whale (Megaptera noveangliae) we had to abandon yesterday? We found them again today, and our encounters were amazing. After being in the water with them several times, the mother finally decided that she trusted us and allowed her calf to come literally within arm’s length. Whales are big.
