Apple Bootcamp is what we’ve all been waiting for!
More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this choice simply irresistible, Apple will include technology in the next major release of Mac OS X, Leopard, that lets you install and run the Windows XP operating system on your Mac. Called Boot Camp (for now), you can download a public beta today.
Now that I’m starting to do some video, I’m tempted to make the Switch. Of course, I say that about once every two years, so who knows… :)
Unfortunately this still doesn’t address the horrible wi-fi reception and lack of extended battery options on the otherwise beautiful mac laptops.
[...] Eric might even switch now. [...]
A Mac running XP? Interesting.
What separates Macs and PCs in my mind is 95% operating system and supported software. If those lines start to significantly blur, I’ll have to re-evaluate a lot of things!
What is it about the Mac that makes it more attractive than the PC for video? It can’t be video codecs or video authoring software, since both platforms seem to have more or less the same support in those areas. (premiere and divx, xvid, h264, etc.) I’m not an expert, but I don’t remember seeing any benchmarks indicating that Macs encode video faster than PCs. Please enlighten me. :)
just sent you email for Liquid7.1 :) Trying to keep ya in the PC world!
