Dammit

Everyone is getting married, and many are starting to have kids. One of my ex-girlfriends just got engaged (and another has already been married and divorced).

I sort of want to get engaged. But I don’t, really. Does that make sense?

Oh well. Instead, I’ll just keep hanging out with my many taken, female friends.

    Makes sense to me, but i’m a freak, so i’m not sure me confirming it making sense makes you a freak or not.

    Either way, yah, makes good sense to me heh.

    We need to find some SINGLE, HETRO, LEGAL, hot azn honeyz, man. I say we camp the local boba joints for the next few months. Bring your camera(s) and we can convince them to, erm, “pose” for us. Can I be your lighting asst? :D

    You could be like me, be married and divorced and broken off a second engagement. It’s super fulfilling. I think the bigger problem that you need to focus on eric is that you are incapable of love.

    Of course, using three amigos logic, incapable would be like more than capable. You just haven’t found the woman who can love at the same level.

    seriously though, there are some hot russian women in chicago that have no idea what azn is….

    Hrm. I’m sure i’m digging the hole deeper, but then i’ve never been accused of knowing when to STFU ;) Who says they need to know what azn means? I know what it means, but I don’t think you have any desire to date me. As long as you can identify the hot azn honeyz, that’s all that matters, eh?

    Anyhew, was just trying to make light of the fact that we’re single, and well… yah.

    @Dave, eh, i’m tame :) I just get overly wordy on blogs and what not. And shouldn’t I fear you, Mr. night-time tooter? :)

    Strangely, I find much solace in hanging out with my many taken, male friends. Or male friends with whom we have expressed our mutual “just friends, don’t want anything more” status.

    I also find solace in that there won’t be any weird “camera crews” asking coming to a local boba joint near me. :)

    Neal: I’ll be honest here. Two things bothered me about what you wrote. “AZN” is associated with things I do not like about Asian American culture, and… the comment you wrote is a strong expression of an Asian fetish. I don’t really care if you have one, but the combination of the two rubbed me the wrong way.

    Sorry you took it that way. For what it’s worth, the ‘hot azn honeyz’ reference was totally tongue in cheek and an (apparently bad) attempt at levity. Wasn’t trying to offend anyone, just to be so overly cliche that they’d get a chuckle out of it. Same goes for any implied asian fetish comments. I will say that i’m surprised anyone who knows me would view my comments in that light given all the stupid ass shit I say from day to day, but either way, I apologize. It wasn’t intentional.

    Actually, I think we may be in a similar boat (methphorically, although we often actually are). Although I don’t have the excuse, er, rationale that I’m always out of town. So your reason for not having someone special us understandable. Mine however, is probably more in need of psychotherapy, or not being so picky (possibly one and the same, no?). Or I just need to meet more attractive, bright, thin women…arg.
