Skype DTMF finally working

If you are a Skype user, you may be interested to learn that as of Skype Beta version 1.4.0.47, DTMF tones (touch tones) seem to be working (finally!). It may have been working in earlier versions, but this is the first one I’ve downloaded that fixes the problem. I can’t send DTMF tones too quickly, but it works if you place a deliberate pause between each tone.
I can’t believe it took them this long to fix the problem. Not sure if it has been resolved in non-Windows versions.
It doesn’t work for me. I get absolutely no tone’s when I use the click-pad when making a skype out call. I’m using version 2.0.0.73.
I have mixed results. Sometimes, it works great. Other times, nothing. No question of deliberate pauses. All I have to dial is “1″ to enter a meeting id. But nothing happens after I press “1″.
Skype 2.0.0.107.
I wouldn’t get too excited too soon as it is very apparent that Skype is not the least bit interested in getting the problem resolved. I recommend finding another company and let Skype go ahead and fall by the wayside since that is where they are headed. Not having the DTMF tone is highly irritating but Skype isn’t the only show in town.
