Ahhh… Mac people. Gotta love them for their beautiful hardware.
The Griffin iTrip is going to make my gen 1(.5) iPod a few times more useful. I hate cassette adapters for car use. And besides, my car’s cassette player is busted. :)
Sorry for the crappy product photo. Mac people use white backgrounds with their white products. Masking is very hard when they do that. :)
Very cool. I’m still using MD, due to the size of the players, but I’m probably going to get an iPod for my little brother’s graduation present…how is the audio quality when transmitted over FM?
i have no idea. it is still on order due to high demand. reviews claim that it is better than cassette adapter, but worse (obviously) than line input.
oh, and it doesn’t work with gen 2 ipods yet. but i’m sure they’re working on it.
Alex and I are putting the finishing touches on our latest app for the Mac, which converts unread headlines from NetNewsWire (RSS Reader) to AIFF files and places them into a new iTunes Playlist. Future directions include reading your new email, documents, etc.
I’ve used my iPod in the car with a different FM transmitter–the iRock–and I’ve been pretty disappointed with the sound quality. Hopefully, the iTrip will be better.
oh wow! this entry comes up second when a search is done in google for the “griffin itrip”.
