Dell has been going crazy with coupons! HWExtreme today reports two stackable $45 off $350 coupons (for a total of $90 off $350) good for accessories like printers, software, cameras, etc. Combined with their current promotion (15% off ALL Memory, 10% off ALL Accessories, 10% off select Dell System Upgrades, Printers & Scanners), very nice things can be had for cheap(er). One of the coupons expires this evening.
I used the deal to get an Archos Jukebox 20GB for $250.16. It will likely inspire more confidence than what I use now, which is the X’s Drive.
darn. i missed it.
I am really pleased with the archos. I only wish the display was a little better (see ipod).
yeah… i have an ipod. so i use that for music. :) the archos will be only for backup photos. :)
For a moment there, I thought you’d gone mad and were ditching your iPod for a clunky Jukebox…THAT would be a bad sign. :)
are you kidding me? the archos is a beast. :) the only beef i have with the ipod is that the pc sync software (musicmatch jukebox) totally ignores the composer field. stupid musicmatch.
Maybe a little iTunes for Windows would brighten your day? hehe… don’t hold your breath, though. It’s coming, but probably not all that soon. Today on macrumors.com someone posted a job offering that Apple just put up looking for someone to write the program. Hmm… maybe they should have thought of that a few months before launching their new music service (which, I have to say, is pretty cool).
that hwextreme site looks to be syndicating gotapex.com/deals.php. watch out eric, don’t be like joe and be an impulsive, value-driven buyer. thats how i ended up with a dvd-r, and now it’s all over :).
the Archos is not nearly as sleek as the ipod…but. At half the price I can handle the extra weight. Plus I’ve heard that you can’t upload songs from an ipod onto another computer…true or false?

Hi, Eryn - well, you can do it. But it’s not as easy as it could be.
