I dragged Dave Patchen out — jetlagged, but still a good sport — to hear me speak at the COBA meeting tonight. There was a good turn-out, and it seemed like people enjoyed themselves. The 24×18″ Pictopia prints were certainly a big hit. As usual, people were amazed by the quality of the prints. I wasn’t sure how much detail to get into during the talk, so I stuck with very high-level slides (e.g. “this is an underwater housing”). I’m sure there were some underwater photographers in the audience who were bored. :) [see some photos]
Off-topic, but thought you’d be interested in some wild-looking shark art: http://www.trollart.com/sharkimage.html
:)
That balding guy in the back (in your CEO examing prints picture) looks like he is fixing to say “holy sh*t, how’d he do that?!?”
Despite the photographic evidence, a truck did not hit me that evening. Next time I fly in from 7 time zones away I’m going to ban all photography of me until fully rested :)
