My sis’ and I went out to see Han-Na Chang and Kyoko Takezawa perform Brahms Double tonight (David Zinman conducted — which was cool, cuz he conducted from memory). Han-Na projected really well in the hall, and had a great sound. The last time I went to see the Brahms, Michael Grebanier was soloing, and I couldn’t hear anything. Also on the program was Strauss’ Don Juan and Der Rosenkavalier — and some modern piece that promptly put me to sleep. Great program, overall. :) As usual, I bumped into people I knew at Davies: I saw Eric Han and Hector Moreno.
Afterwards, Wendy and I went our separate ways to celebrate birthdays (different people). I went over to Geoff and Livia’s to celebrate Jason’s birthday. We ate dessert and played Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
