Hi Eric,

I've read your web pages and wonder if you've any experience or tips using a Canon 30D with a Hoya 72 filter.

So far I've had no real luck with the normal camera settings. Is the IR blocker in the 30D in-camera more efficient than the 20D perhaps?

I think your photos are absolutely amazing! In fact, I am currently writing a research paper for my digital photography class on you. (I hope you don't mind!) One of my personal goals is to make it out to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to take some underwater photos... one of these days, I'll get there.

We meet at NCUPS? 2008, I found your site on xBench, trying to find out if my refurbished 17" MBP 3.06, 4 gigs RAM, 500 HD @ 5400 RPM is up to speed: Snow Leopard dropped my score down to 143, but it was 154- 160 on Leopard! What should it be? Geekbench lacks a useful data-base because its un-definded.
How much did it cost you to hot rod your xBench MBP?
